At Turning For Home (TFH), we work with trusted Partner Farms to transition retired racehorses from Parx Racing into new careers and homes. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our adoption application, providing as much detail as possible. This will help our Partner Farms connect you with horses that match your experience, goals, and location.
Horse Availability & Pricing

Our adoptable Thoroughbreds range from companion-only horses (carefully screened, no-cost placements) to competition-ready prospects priced in the five figures.

Many horses fall somewhere in between, with varied levels of retraining and experience.

Every horse is professionally evaluated for suitability based on health, temperament, and second-career potential.
Trial Rides & Adopter Experience

Trial rides may be permitted at the discretion of the Farm Manager.

The decision is based on the adopter’s riding experience and whether they are working with a trainer.
Ownership & Lifetime Protection

Right of First Refusal: If an adopter ever needs to rehome a TFH horse, TFH or its Partner Farms must be given the first opportunity to take the horse back.

Guaranteed Safe Landing: TFH will always accept any adopted horse back at any time, for any reason—ensuring a lifetime safety net.
